Dale retired from CSX Railroad after 43 years of service. He worked as a Carman and was the Head of the Safety Department. He was a lifetime member of First Byron Center CRC. He served for many years as a Cadet Leader, was involved in the choir, and was always willing to help with church functions and projects. For many years, Dale coached the girls church softball team at the Rec Center. Dale was an avid Detroit Lions and Tigers fan. He was a very faithful follower of South Christian High School sports and never missed a game when his grandchildren were involved. His voice could always be heard in the crowd! He treated his family to many trips over the years where many lasting memories were made. He and his wife enjoyed many weeks of camping during the summer months at Holland State Park where he hosted many hamburg fries and bought many ice cream cones for all!
The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Trinity Health Senior Adult Unit 3 Lacks. Their love and care for Dad through his toughest days, and the compassion shown for him during his hardest times will never be forgotten.
