Donna VanDusen

Donna Jean VanDusen, age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 6, 2023. She was preceded in death by parents Robert and Dorothy Higgins; sister, Betty Lou (Warren) Lund; granddaughter, Kimberly Oom; and son-in-law, Randy Lubbers. She will be lovingly remembered by children Tom (Candy) VanDusen, Janice (Tim) Evans, Kathy Lubbers, Brian (Michelle) VanDusen; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Donna had a love for all things family-related. First and foremost, she was a mom and grandma, and she loved taking care of, spending time with, and always being a resource for her family. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, and gardening. She made everything from Halloween costumes to hats and gloves that she donated to those in need. Donna was a very active member and employee of her church, Buck Creek Community (formerly Newhall Reformed Church). The family would like to extend a loving thank you to the staff at Railside Assisted Living Center for their care for mom and also a special thanks to Lori K.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Buck Creek Community Church, 3746 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49519, with visitation from 10 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
