Geraldine Ruth VanderBei

Geraldine Ruth VanderBei, age 94 of Wyoming, went to her heavenly home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Kreuzer; second husband, Roger VanderBei; parents Bernard and Marian; siblings Dolores Smith (Donald), Robert Motman, Ronald Motman. She is survived by her children Dan Kreuzer (Pamela), Eric Kreuzer (Rhoda), Craig Kreuzer; grandchild, Richard (Rickie); stepchildren Robert Vanderbei (Kris), Beth Ridenour; sisters-in-law Martha Motman, Judy Motman, Evonne Kreuzer; and many nieces and nephews.

Gerri worked as a cashier for many years for Meijer, Inc. She enjoyed watching her three sons play little league baseball. She was a devoted, lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers. Gerri spent her leisure time reading her Bible, playing cards, playing Rummikub, taking walks at local parks, and bowling. She loved animals, especially horses and dogs. Gerri served as a volunteer in the New Focus ministry of Calvary Church for many years. Her volunteer responsibilities included organizing and maintaining the church's food pantry.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Kentwood Community Church, 1200 60th St. SE, Kentwood, MI 49508, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresbyron.com in their guestbook online.
