

Larry served his country in the Army during the Korean War from 1950-1952. Larry’s greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. When Larry met his wife Marjorie, they both knew they were meant for each other. They were married April 18, 1958, and enjoyed 66 years of togetherness.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Lemson); children Daniel (Laura) Dornbos, Douglas Dornbos, Sheryl (James) Alberta; grandchildren Brian (Jillian) Dornbos, Krista (Sam) Katzer, Kara (Matt) Wilmore, Amanda (Jim) Groenink, Ryan (Chelsea) Dornbos, David (Katrina) Dornbos, Rachel Alberta; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Mary) Dornbos; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Henrietta Dornbos; sisters Nella Wolf and Carolyn (Harold) DeVries; grandchildren Holly Dornbos and Kyle Alberta.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Trinity United Reformed Church, 7350 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Caledonia, MI 49316, with visitation from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
