Peacefully passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 in his 90th year at St. Andrews Terrace surrounded by the love of his family. He is together again with his beloved wife Shirley Doreen (2010). Loving Father of Gerald Hobler, Richard (Jean) Hobler, Dan (Denise) Hobler, Ed Hobler (Violet Bugden) and Nancy (Maurice) Faucher. Proud Grandfather and Papa to Michael, Ashley, Robert, Alex, Melanie, Brittany and Tyler. Great-Grandfather to Aeva, Sera, Tyson, Desiree, Neruda and Mateo. Adam is predeceased by his parents Frank and Veronica Hobler, his brothers Frank and Ladd Hobler and his sister Catherine Prange. He is also predeceased by Sister-In-laws; Fran and Colleen Hobler. Adam is survived not only by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild, but also by his brother Henry (Minnie) Koestel and brother-in-law Ross Prange. He will be forever remembered by his extended family and friends. Adam was a WWII veteran, having served in the Highland Fusiliers of Canada. A man you could count on, he was always there whenever he was needed. This trait carried over into his family life where he worked hard to be a good provider for his family. Staying active included activities such as bowling, walking with a group he helped organize at the David Durward Centre and he dedicated 65 years of service to the Royal Canadian Legion branch 126. In keeping with Adam’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) at 1pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society. A very special thank you to the wonderful group of people who make up the staff of St. Andrews Terrace.
