Alma Dorothy Whitfield

Peacefully, at St. Andrews Terrace, Cambridge, on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the age of 103 years. Reunited with her beloved husband of 70 years, Bert (2007) and great-grandson Dalton (2009). Loving mother of Ann Deekon and her husband Ralph. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her grandsons; Mark (Gerry), Brad (Sandra) and Craig (Beth); her great-grandchildren Emily and Dean and her god-daughter Shelley Richards (Koichi). Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, especially Janet Hart, Jennifer Soos (Frank), Paul Smith (Lori) from Calgary and their families. Dorothy was a member of the Thor Loy Group, Hesperian Group, a volunteer at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and an avid lover of sports, especially curling. Dorothy’s family would like to say a special thank you to all of the staff and volunteers at St. Andrews Terrace as well as Greg and Frank for their kind support. Memorial Services will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Road, Cambridge on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 3 p.m. Private burial at Trinity Anglican Cemetery. In memory of Dorothy, donations may be made by contacting the T. Little Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Cambridge (519-623-1290) to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation or Trinity Anglican Church.
