Brandon Anthony Cardoso

Brandon Anthony Cardoso passed away peacefully and surrounded by love, with his family by his bedside on January 8, 2023 in his 36th year. Brandon was welcomed in heaven by his father, the late Manuel T. Cardoso, his grandparents, late Manuel and Maria Cardoso and his uncle, the late Salvatore Vitale.

Beloved and cherished son of Carole Cardoso and her partner James Hammer. Deeply missed by his sister, Alyssa Cardoso and her fiance Ian Fowler. Adored grandson of Filippo and Guiseppina Vitale. Brandon will be forever loved and remembered by his Aunt Joanne Martin, Uncle Tom Martin and by his cousins and best friends, Tyler, Joshua and Gabriella Martin. He will be deeply missed by his many friends and extended family. Brandon's family wishes to express their gratitude for all his PSW's, especially the most recent, Waverli MacPherson - their compassion, devotion and friendship enabled him to live a fulfilling life, at home.

Extremely artistic, Brandon graduated from Graphic Design at Mohawk College in 2009. An avid sports fan, he followed the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Blue Jays, the Dallas Cowboys and Juventus FC. He loved the outdoors, nature, animals and fishing, and was a dedicated foodie. Family was everything to Brandon - he, and they, were blessed to live close to one another and share their company daily. At the age of 3, Brandon was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He faced his struggles with patience and courage, and he was always able to find the witty humour in any situation. His life was a happy one lived with joy, surrounded by love, and he inspired others with his perseverance and determination - his life was full. He loved deeply and he was deeply loved and he will be forever missed.

Friends will be received at the T. Little Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memories will be shared on Thursday evening at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10am at St. Clements Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, with committal to follow at Parklawn Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

Thank-you to the staff in the ICU at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, especially nurse Asiya, and to Dr Jones and Renata from Hamilton for the exceptional care that Brandon received.
