Comforted by our faith, we find peace in knowing that he is now in the loving arms of the Lord, resting in eternal peace.
Clayton, the beloved husband of Gloria (nee) Mandel for 67 wonderful years. A devoted father to Clayton (Jennifer), Greg, Brian (Kim), Brenda (Tony), and Paul (Shari). Proud Bumpa or “Bumps” as the kids would affectionately call him, to 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandchildren on the way. He was a dear brother to Linda, Don, and David. He will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends.
Clayton was a graduate of Ryerson University and had a distinguished career as a professional engineer. He worked at Allen-Bradley Manufacturing from 1956 to 1995, as the Vice President of Engineering and later a Divisional Vice President of Rockwell Automation. He was also an esteemed IEEE Life Fellow, earning respect and admiration in his field.
A gentle, loving, and family-oriented man, Clayton was known for his kindness and quiet strength. He adored his wife and cherished his family. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he gave back to his community through volunteer work with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
In keeping with Clayton’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Clayton’s memory to World Vision Canada or Intouch Ministries and would be gratefully appreciated.
