It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Courtney Anne Reynolds (née Dyack) at the age of 43, following a courageous and lengthy battle. Courtney passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home in Galt, Ontario.
Courtney was the beloved wife and best friend of Scott Reynolds, with whom she shared ten beautiful years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with laughter, deep love, and happiness. A devoted mother to their two sons, Jack and Austen, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her unwavering love, dedication, and involvement in her children’s lives was truly remarkable, and she was an exceptional mother in every sense of the word.
Courtney was the cherished daughter of Margaret and Alan Dyack, whose love and support helped shape her into the incredible person she was. She was a constant source of light and joy in their lives. She will always be remembered as a loving sister to Alison Dyack, and her brother, Paul Dyack (Domaine). Daughter-in-law to Helen Reynolds (the late David Reynolds), sister-in-law to Jennifer and Bill Glass, and loving aunt to Emma, Will, Ryan, and Malia.
Courtney’s bright spirit, infectious sense of humour, and natural beauty made her a magnetic presence in the lives of all who knew her. Her genuine kindness and warmth drew people in, and she was a true friend to many. She had a way of making everyone feel special, and her positive energy left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Through her laughter, her thoughtful conversations, and the way she made those around her feel seen and valued, Courtney left an indelible mark on all of our hearts.
Courtney poured her heart into everything she did. Through her work at Halton Catholic District School Board, she touched the lives of many colleagues, inspiring those around her with her compassion, creativity, and genuine nature. She always led by example, showing others what it truly meant to be a good person.
To the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and all other healthcare practitioners your efforts and care were greatly appreciated.
Courtney will forever be remembered for her love, grace, and the bright light she brought to all of us. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Funeral Mass and celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 16th at 11am at the Basilica of Christ the King (Hamilton). The family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation in Courtney’s honour or a GoFundMe page is being set up for Courtney's young children.
