Passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in his 36th year. Dan will be sadly missed by his daughter Abigail and stepson Nathan. Adored soulmate to Michelle Martin and loving son to Louise Smits (nee Cyples) and Pieter Smits. Son-in-law to Rose Massano (Vic) and Rob Martin (Cheryl). Loving grandson to Oma Antoinette Smits. He will be remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Spending time with his family was most important to Dan. He worked at Loblaws as a Fork Lift Operator for 18 years. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs Marley and Jersey, playing soccer, fishing, watching sports and playing pro line with his uncle Wayne. Dan is up in heaven with his grandparents Leona and Lawrence Cyples, his godmother Aunt Gale Deering, his opa Peter Smits and his father Daniel Russell Patteson. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at T. Little Funeral Home & Cremation Centre - 223 Main St., Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
