Passed away peacefully at Riverbend Place Cambridge, on Tuesday July 16, 2013 in her 96th year. Loving mother of Elaine Kent (Arlen), Lorraine Murphy, Shirley Murphy (Les), Elizabeth Quigley (Kevin), Walter Murphy (Joanne) and a step son Cameron Thackaberry. Also survived by a sister Edna Miller (Frank), 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great -Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents William and Phyllis Bennett, her 1st. husband Andrew Murphy, 2nd husband Thomas Murphy and her 3rd husband Peter Thackaberry, 2 sons Donald and Edgar, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Lillian was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of Cambridge Newfoundland Club. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Cambridge on Friday July 19, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 P. M. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
