Passed away peacefully at St. Andrews Terrace on Friday, February 7, 2014, in her 98th year. Born in Montrose, Scotland, Frances was predeceased by her husband Col. Henry R. Brown (US Air Force) and cherished siblings David N. Durward (Margaret) and Jean J. Williams. Lovingly remembered by nephews, David R.K. Durward (Barbara) and Frank Williams (Jennifer) and niece Susan E. Durward; great-nieces Christine F. Baker (Jeff), Alison M. Durward (Rocky) and Heather A. Durward (Ronnie); and great-great-nephew Nicholas D. Aultman, along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families throughout the United States. A celebration of Frances' life will be held at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge where the family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until service time at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, with a reception to follow at Coutts. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be considered to the Christian Education program at Knox's Galt Presbyterian Church.
