Passed into the Lord’s hands with his family at his side at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 18, 2010, in his 81st year.
Beloved husband of the late Ruth (Carothers) Gowing. Dear father of Stephen Gowing (Anne), Wendy Guenard (Raoul), Tom Gowing (Lynda), Susan Munro (Kris), Victoria McTavish (John) and Mark Gowing (Shirley). Loving Grandpa of 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by 3 sisters, 4 brothers and by many relatives and friends.
Frank was a prominent local businessman in Cambridge, mainly in the plumbing and water treatment industry. He was an active member for over 40 years at the Westside Bible Chapel where he served in building and property maintenance. Frank enjoyed many sports including hockey and baseball.
The Gowing family will receive their relatives and friends for visitation at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held from Hespeler Baptist Church, Cambridge on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 1 p.m.
