It is with heavy hearts and unfathomable sadness that we share with you the passing of Jashuben Chauhan on Sunday, July 10th, 2022. As many of you already know since 2013, she courageously fought her battle with Stage 3 Brain tumor. An eventual fight thereafter with 2.5 years of Dementia was endured by her with impressive strength and strong will. Everyone who crossed paths with her will fondly remember her courage, wit, kindness, lightheartedness, caring nature with socially interactive personality.
She had a strong zest for life. She loved to travel, dress up, entertaining friends and family with her love of cooking, sharing recipes as well as capturing moments with her need to take pictures to immortalize various get togethers. She was always impeccably dressed and made sure she was presentable at all times. She was also a teacher in India for 19 years. Her students still kept in touch with her to this day.
She loved her husband of 52 years, Ishuarlal
Fiercely and proudly loved three daughters, Smita, Jignasha and Hemali
Son-in-laws whom she loved as her own sons, Sanjay, Girish and Jignesh
Cherished 5 grand children, Mukund, Maya, Jay, Dhiti and Vivaan
Beloved siblings Manju, Umia and Thakorbhai
She equally loved her many family members and friends whom she always kept in touch with. She always had a smile with a memorable laugh even on her toughest days to greet anyone and everyone.
The void she leaves behind will never be filled. We will continue to carry on without her with fond memories that are cherished beyond measure. We take solace and strength in the fact that she is now resting in God’s warm embrace, free of pain, mental turmoil and in eternal peace.
We would like to thank everyone including friends, family, colleagues, healthcare teams, support staff, PSW, WWLHIN, Hamilton General Hospital, and TCU at Highland Place. Your unwavering kindness, love, support, care, and advise will forever be cherished and appreciated by our family.
Viewing and Funeral will be held together on Saturday, July 16th between 9am -11am. It will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cremation Centre at 620 Governor’s Road East, Paris, Ontario, N3L 3E1.
