With great sadness, the family announces that Karl passed away after succumbing to injuries from an accident on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Anna for 62 years and loving father of Ingrid (Stephen) Iskierski, Rosemary (Tom) Hare, Monika (Henri) Jacques and Caroline (Paul) Ronald. Proud Opi to grandchildren Lori-Anne, Anita, Kelsey, Ryan, Shyann and Holly and great-grandchildren Kayla, Karly, Ava and Austin. He will be lovingly remembered by siblings Hans Jurgen (Katie d.), Christel (Alfred), Hannelore d. (Werner d.), Dieter (Pat), Horsti (Betty d.), Karen (Vince d.), Heidi (Ann) and Monika (John) and many nieces and nephews. Karl is reunited in heaven with his granddaughter Nicole and great-grandson Benjamin. He retired from the City of Cambridge where he worked as ‘the carpenter’ for many years. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a service to honour his life will be celebrated at a later date.
