Margaret Irene Davis, age 92, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2025, at 5:00 a.m. in Cambridge, Ontario. Born in Saddlers Village, Saint Kitts, Margaret immigrated to the United Kingdom, where she raised her three children, before eventually moving to Canada in 1965, making her home first in Toronto, and then in Cambridge from 2017.
Margaret was a longtime and devoted member of St. Mark of the Epiphany Anglican Church, where she cherished her faith and community. She had a passion for baking, tending to her rose and vegetable gardens, and was an avid knitter and crocheter. She took great joy in creating baby blankets and bodysuits for her family, leaving a loving legacy that touches every new generation.
She is survived by her daughters, Joanna Davis and Vanessa Edwards; her grandchildren, Jamal, Jenille, Justin, Whitney and Kameshia; and her seven great-grandchildren, Stephon, Aria, Kema, Jackson, Xavier, Miyah, and Ziggy. She was predeceased by her son, Royston Davis; husband, Zachariah Davis; and nine siblings, Simon, Susanna, Roberta, Arabella, John, Jeremiah, Eliza, and Sophia. Her remaining siblings are George, Catherine, and Keithley.
Margaret lived her life with curiosity, creativity, and thoughtfulness, guided by one of her favorite sayings: “Head made book, not book made head.” She believed that knowledge alone is not enough — it is the mind that interprets, understands, and applies what we learn. This proverb reflects her lifelong commitment to learning, critical thinking, and using her mind actively, whether in her hobbies, her faith, or her family life.
Margaret will be dearly missed by all who knew her, yet her warmth, generosity, and the many handcrafted gifts she shared will remain with her family forever.
A visitation will be held on November 26, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at T. Little Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, located at 223 Main Street, Cambridge.
Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place in the chapel.
