Marian Gray Walker

It is with great sadness that the family of Marian Walker announces her sudden passing on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at the age of 89. Loving wife and soul-mate of Reg Walker for 66 wonderful years. Beloved Mom of Kirk & his wife Lynn Walker. Cherished Grandma to Erin (Steve), Brad (Maddy) and Deanna (Chris). Sister of Kay McRae and John Cornford. Also survived by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Harold & Elsie (nee Kendall) Cornford, brother-in-law Ian McRae, sister-in-law Audrey Crowson and brother-in-law Jim Crowson.

Marian was an accomplished knitter and seamstress who enjoyed handcrafting animals, Christmas decorations, and Halloween costumes for her loved ones. In addition to being an avid reader, she was a skilled baker, and was famous for her homemade peppermint patties. Over the years, she volunteered at Freeport Hospital, and was known by those in her community for her laughter, kindness, and her energetic and dynamic spirit. Above all, one of her favourite things was a heartfelt hug from her grandchildren. Grandma’s warm hugs and loving nature will be greatly missed.

To honour Marian's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at COUTTS FUNERAL HOME, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, Ontario N1S 1M8 on Saturday, January 13th, 2017 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. followed by memorial service.
