She is reunited with her beloved husband, Bawa Singh (1991), and her beloved daughter, Shinder Soomal (2017), after many years apart.
Loving mother to Naginder Keilah, Hardial Singh, Sukcharn Singh, Jasbinder Basra and Balbinder Singh, and their spouses, Mohinder will also be fondly remembered by her 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, their spouses, along with extended family and friends. She was the last of her siblings, having outlived two brothers and one sister.
Born in India, Mohinder later moved to England before finally settling in Canada. She lived a long and joyful life devoted to her family, cherishing every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. A true matriarch and guiding spirit, she loved to travel, share stories, and celebrate life with those she held dear. Her warmth, wisdom, and devotion leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge with cremation to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Crematorium, 620 Governor’s Road E., Paris.
As expressions of sympathy, donations in Mohinder’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
