Passed away, peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the age of 84.
Beloved husband of Cynthia Vernon; loving dad of Gary (Julie) Vernon and Hayley (David) Gillis. Adored grandfather of Elliott Vernon (Natalie Kornas), Kayla Vernon, David (Janell) Scott, Stephen Scott, Kenton Gillis (Carissa Prociuk) and great-grandfather of Lily Scott. Sadly missed by sister Maureen Simpson and sister-in-law Anne Vernon. Predeceased by his parents Eric and Edith Vernon, brother Kenneth Vernon and brother-in-law David Simpson.
Norman and Cynthia spent their winter months in Florida for 21 years where he enjoyed to golf and bowl. In the summer months they spent time on the St. Lawrence River in Brockville.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Grand River Hospital for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. No formal services will be held.
