With great sadness, the family announces that Peter passed away at the Grey Bruce Hospice in Owen Sound, on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Jeanette for 44 years. Loving father of Peter and Lori Dawitschek and Amanda Dawitschek and loving grandfather of Courtney, Peter, Lucas and Kaitlynn. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters and brothers in-laws Christina and Bill Keller and Irene and Jerry Korstanje and brothers in-law and sister in-law Philip and Carolle Chowen and Bill Chowen as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Peter was an avid fisherman and was well known for his love of the sport. The family wishes to thank Dr. Lisa Scott, the staff of the Grey Bruce Hospice and the Palliative Care Team for their compassionate care.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at the T. Little Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 11 – 1 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow.
