Peter Harlowe West

Passed away peacefully, with family by his side on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Hospice Wellington Guelph, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Doreen Walker for 8 years. Loving father to Anne West (Scott), Michael West (Sue), Lynn De Melo (Tom) and Janice Chin (André) and step-father to Nigel Walker and Amanda Walker (Tony). Proud grandpa to Trevor (Agnes), Amanda, Jeffrey, Jessica, Justin (Courtney), Cole, Evan, Krista (Justin), Keegan (Ashley), Kaitlin, Ebony and Shelby. He will be lovingly remembered by sisters Pat Moore and Barbara Siebert and sisters in-law Audrey West, Christine Smith and Moira Miller and his nieces, nephews and friends and especially missed by his much loved dog, Ollie. Predeceased by his wife Beverley (nee Miller) West in 2006, brother Don and brother in-law Ken. Peter taught Biology at Southwood Secondary School for almost 30 years. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Peter’s Life will take place at the T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Hospice Wellington would be greatly appreciated by the family.
