Rachel Jewett

JEWETT, Rachel (nee Vervaecke); in her ninety-first year, peacefully turned her beak at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday, October 27, 2011. She joins her loving husband of 60 years, Willard, her grandson-in-law David, her beautiful grandson Nickolas, and her best friend Shirley in Heaven. She will be eminently missed by her five children and their spouses Larry (Sharon), Elaine (Evan), Mark (Stephanie), Alan (Jody), and Norman (Sandy); by her ten grandchildren Lindsay, Laura (Sean), Adrian, Andrew, Eli, Christopher, Matthew, Lauren, James, and Gabriel; and by her four beautiful great grandchildren Megan, Mitchell, Tyler, and Bria Rae. She will be fondly remembered by her countless friends and the many dedicated staff at Queens Square Terrace, Golden Years Retirement Home, and Cambridge Memorial Hospital who came to know Rachel. A Memorial Service will be held at the T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 2 pm with visitation an hour prior. Interment will take place Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 1:30 pm at Riverview Cemetery Wallaceburg, Ontario. Donations made to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
