Survived by his loving parents Mario and Miranda Farkas, and his precious sister and brother-in-law, Jen and Marty Colven. Ryan has 2 grandmothers, Mary and Rose, along with uncles Dennis and Nick, and several cousins. Predeceased by his grandpa Mike and grandpa Nick.
Ryan attended St. Augustine Catholic School and Monsignor Doyle Catholic High School in Cambridge. He graduated the Niagara College Print Journalism program and then graduated from the specialized programs in Editing and Copywriting at Humber College. Ryan was an avid bike rider and was likely seen by many putting in the kilometers in and around Cambridge. His love of music and film were the backbone of his personal and professional life. He loved sports — wrestling, basketball, the EPL and baseball (the Commish) — these helped to define him and was something he would always be up for discussing with a passion only he could provide. His unwavering love for his friends and family will be greatly missed, as will his larger than life presence.
Special thanks to everyone for their immense support, generosity and love — as well to the Waterloo Region first responders for all of their efforts.
A private immediate family viewing and Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ryan’s Life will be held at The Galt Club (upstairs of Local 13), 13 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Cambridge on Saturday, March 15th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
