Sal’s success was evident by the strong relationships built with his valued customers. Sal and Miriam had the pleasure of travelling to different places in the Caribbean, their vacation home in California and most recently, Europe. However, Sal’s favourite place in the world was at the cottage on Georgian Bay with family and friends. Sal also found joy in gardening, his grandchildren, playing backgammon and was passionate about soccer. Sal’s corny jokes, big personality, optimism and extreme generosity will be missed by so many. The family would like to thank all the staff at Trillium Health Centre, Juravinski Hospital, Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Freeport Palliative Care Unit for the compassionate care shown to Sal during his journey.
