Cherished wife of her pre deceased husband William Hugh Witherspoon. Beloved mother of Carole VanDerVoort and her husband Simon, Stephen Witherspoon, Janeen Witherspoon and her husband Daniel Cove.

Loving grandmother of Victoria and Jonathan VanDerVoort.

Also survived by her sister Olive Milliken. Predeceased by her sister Joan Henderson and brother Robert (Bertie) Kitson, all of Larne Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.

God saw you getting tired and the cure was not to be. So he put His arms around you and whispered “come with me”. With tearful eyes we watched you pass away. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

As per our Mother’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. Relatives and friends are invited to join us in the celebration of our Mother’s life at 54 Inverness Drive, Cambridge N1S 4C9 from 2pm on Sunday, August 16th, 2015.

We would like to thank Golden Years Nursing Home staff for their love and caring over the last few days of our Mother’s life; especially Jan, Lisa and Sue for their kindness, love and support.
