

He passed away peacefully on Monday, February 28th, 2022 at the age of 70, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener.
Beloved husband to Eleni (Helen), Loving father to Jenny (husband Steve), Niki (husband Dimitri), and Bill (wife Andreea), Proud Grandfather (Pappou) to Lea, George, Elena, Kosta, Chris, and Yanni.
Predeceased by father Spiros, mother Eleni, sisters Irini and Agapi, brother Manoli and nephew Dimitri.
He will be deeply missed and remembered by his extended family and friends in both Canada and Greece.
Stelios was a strong, loving proud Cretan, born on June 4th, 1951 on the beautiful island of Crete. He was the youngest of four children. In 1975 at the age of 24 he immigrated to Toronto, Canada for a better life. He worked in construction installing windows and doors for many years. In 1991 he moved to Cambridge were he worked as a custodian and security for Knob Hill Farms. He later owned and operated Westgate Submarines along with his wife Eleni and proudly served the community for 15 yrs. After retirement, he found great joy being a school bus driver for Sharp Bus Lines, gardening and travelling. Most importantly Stelios loved and cherished his family, grandchildren and friends unconditionally and enjoyed spending time making memories with them all.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St Andrews Street, Cambridge. A Trisagion will be held at 8:30 p.m. led by Father Anatoliy Bandoura. A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 527 Bridgeport Road East, Kitchener, ON N2K 1N6. He will be laid to rest at Parklawn Cemetery in Cambridge following the service.

Although you left us in body we will always carry you in our hearts and cherish our fond memories until we meet again. We will love you forever.
