Tommaso “Tom” Spennato passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the age of 92. Tom is survived by his children Dean (Brenda) Spennato, Marilena (Laz) Korpics and Enzo (Lisa) Spennato, his grandchildren Haley (Nik), Ryan, Natalie (Gareth), Christopher (Raegan), Andrew, Lauren, and Leyla, and great-grandchildren Sadie and Owen.
Tom is predeceased by his wife Josephine and his sisters Maria and Cetta.
Born in Racale, Italy, Tom came to Canada at the age of 18. He settled in Cambridge and soon married his wife Josephine.
Tom was endlessly social and never passed up an opportunity to strike up a conversation. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: a glass of his homemade wine, a seafood meal and time spent with his grandchildren. He had an incredible green thumb and always had an abundance of fresh vegetables in his garden.
Tom’s family invite all who knew him to join them in celebrating his life. A memorial visitation and reception will take place on Tuesday, May 20th from 1:00 to 4:00 at T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street.
