Vincenzo Recine

Passed away suddenly on Friday, December 14, 2012 in his 88th year with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 57 years to Iolanda. Loving father of Mario (Rose) and Anna (Andrew). Cherished Nonno of Nadia (Matthew), Fabrizio (Estera), Robert, Katie and Anthony. Great Nonno to his great-grandchildren Daya and Izaak. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Survived by his sister Lucia Venditti of Italy. Predeceased by his parents Bernando and Giuseppina (Cortina) Recine, brothers Umberto, Renzo, Antonio and sister Rosa (brother-in-law Giovanni Faustini). Vincenzo was a quiet man of few words who expressed himself through his huge generous heart. He loved his vegetable garden, home-cooked Italian meals, and fine chocolate. Above all he cherished his time with his famiglia. Rest in Peace, Papà. Friends and family will be received at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Rosary at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 53 Wellington Street, Cambridge at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012. Entombment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
