Violet Iris Slater

Passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Dennis Slater. Loving mother of Linda Beacock and her husband Jim of Cambridge, Michael and his wife Janet of Woodville, Maureen Hanson and her husband Rick of Cambridge, Sharon Duncan and her husband Rob of Guelph. Also survived by her 8 Grandchildren Kim (Gord), Ian (Casey), Michael (Ashley), Kevin, Grant, Meg, Jeff (Holly) and Susan, and 2 great-grandchildren Caitlin and James. Iris will be missed by her 2 sisters Marina Chadwick and her family, Joan Hayes and her family, sister-in-law Jean and her family all from England. Iris was born in Sheffield, England on February 26, 1927 and has lived in Cambridge since 1965. A member of the United Kingdom Club of Cambridge. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 12 Noon until service time at 1 P.M. Cremation has taken place. Fellowship to follow at the United Kingdom Club, International Village Drive, Cambridge.
