
Edward J. Korzeniewski (Kay) 80, of Enola, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010, in the Claremont Nursing and Rehab Center, Carlisle. He was born October 10, 1929, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Edward J. and Julia (Mrozik) Korzeniewski.
He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and served from 1946 to 1952. He was decorated with three Bronze Stars, the Presidential Citation Medal, and the Purple Heart. After his military service, he learned to repair musical instruments at Slater’s Music School in Buffalo, NY, and then moved to northern New Jersey where he was the owner and Director of three Conservatories of Music. In 1962, he moved to Pennsylvania to work with Victor D’Angelis of Hershey, and opened the East and West Shore Conservatories of Music in the Harrisburg area. After working for Stuard Derrick Real Estate, ReMax Reality Associates, and M.C. Walker Realty, he retired as a realtor associate.
He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and American Legion Post 741, both of Enola, and the Mechanicsburg VFW Post 6704.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Korzeniewski (Kay); children, Greg Korzeniewski (Ann), of Falls Church, VA; Don Korzeniewski of Shermans Dale; Kariann Marshall, (Eric) of Lebanon, NJ; Cynthia Korzeniewski (Kay), of Mechanicsburg, and Edward Korzeniewski (Kay) Jr., of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his sister, Dorothy Minogue, of West Paterson, NJ.
Viewings will be held Sunday, October 3, 2010, 1:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St., Camp Hill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 4, 2010, 11:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 225 Salt Rd., Enola. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Road, Annville.
