Howard J. Coyle, 96, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at The Bridges at Bent Creek. He was born August 23, 1915 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Howard J. and Anne M. (Harle) Coyle Sr.; and was preceded in death by his wives, Margaret M. Coyle and Marianne Coyle; and his brother, Patrick Coyle.
He was a retired owner and operator of Gwillim’s Inc., of Harrisburg and a U.S. Navy veteran of WW 2.
He was a past president and member of the Harrisburg Exchange Club and a member of the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his son, John E. Coyle, wife, Marge, of Kernersville, NC; two daughters, Martha M. Coulson, of Mechanicsburg, and Marlene K. Lanza, husband, James, of Camp Hill; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
A Gathering will be held 3:45p.m, Saturday, April 28, 2012 in the President Room at The Bridges at Bent Creek, 2100 Bent Creek Blvd., Mechanicsburg. Private burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
