

He was born May 24, 1931 in Philadelphia son of the late Paul and Helen (Stump) Hassler
He was a graduate of Chambersburg High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Grove City College.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force retiring as Lt. Col. He also served as a Liaison Officer with the USAF Academy.
He was a self-employed Accountant for over 30 years.
He was Past State President of the PSPA and served as President of the Harrisburg Council Navy League of the United States.
He enjoyed playing golf, tennis and bridge and was an avid Penn State Football fan; he also enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janis Hassler in 2015 and his sister, Mary Hassler.
Surviving is his son, John S. Hassler of Carlisle, grandson, Joshua Stephen Hassler of Meadville and brother, Karl C. Hassler of York.
Funeral service will be 11:30 Monday August 8, 2016 from Neill Funeral Home 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
