Preceding her in death is her husband, Joseph J. Tretter; her parents, Anna (Marks) and James Borrelli; her sisters Anita Borrelli and Concetta Ingalzo; brother, Vincent Borrelli Sr, and her niece, Carol (Joseph) McGeoy.
Surviving Josephine are her niece and Lisa (Robert) Baney; and her nephews, Vincent (Debra) Borrelli Jr. and their daughters Leigh and Lynn, and Jeffrey Borrelli and his son Jimmy Borrelli.
She retired as a management analyst for the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health. Transferring to Virginia with her husband, she worked with the U.S. Naval Regional Medical Center at Norfolk Naval Base and the Naval Dependent Clinic at Little Creek, VA.
She served as a Secretary, Vice President, and Board Member with the Hampden Township Civic Club; was a State Secretary for the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees and a board member of its Central PA Chapter. Josephine was also a very active volunteer at Holy Spirit Hospital.
Josephine was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and its care team, the Curcillo Movement with Harrisburg Catholic Diocese, Holy Spirit Hospital Auxiliary, Hershey Italian Lodge Women’s Auxiliary, the Navy League, and former Mechanicsburg Officers Mess Foreign Policy Association of Harrisburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 11:00am Good Shepherd Catholic Church; 3435 E Trindle Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011 . Burial will follow the services at Resurrection Cemetery; 116 S Oak Grove Rd, West Hanover Township, PA 17112
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church or to Holy Spirit Hospital.
