Margaret E. Brubeck, “Peggy” or “Nanny Peg,” 85, of Carlisle, formally of Marysville, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 with her loving family by her side at the Church of God Home in Carlisle.
She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Edith Didieum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Brubeck Sr., her sister Patricia Brubeck, and great-granddaughter Valerie Collins.
Peggy was a 1956 graduate from William Penn High School. She was employed by the US Army Logistics Evaluation Agency for over 20 years before retiring. She served as an active member of NARFE following her retirement.
She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Marysville, where she played piano & sang in the choir.
Peg/Nanny Peg is survived by her children; Rick Collins (Donna) of Telford, PA, Jim Collins (Chris) of Hagerstown, MD, Karen Henry (Jeff) of Mechanicsburg, PA, & Larry Collins (Stacey) of York, PA. Grandchildren; Daniel Nightengale (Chelsea), Ricky Collins (Sarah), Michael Collins (Brittany), Matthew Henry (Gina), Matthew Groff (Kasi), Adam Collins, Justin Henry (Danielle), Tyler Zahniser (Haleigh), Cortney Collins (Freddy), Ryan Collins (Erica) & Cody Collins. Peggy also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday December 9, 2023 at 11 AM at the Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, PA 17011. A viewing will precede the funeral at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 4855 Londonderry Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial contribution to supporting our troops be made in her honor.
