Born in Lewistown, PA, on April 14, 1940 to the late Glenn Adam and Mae Mildred (Smith) Geedy.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Wilson; son, Steve Wilson; daughter, Wanda Wilson; sister, Bonnie Geedy; and her brothers, Robert, Donnie, Johnnie, William (Bill), Vernon (Jack), Harold (Bud), Russell, and Charles (Mugs) Geedy.
Surviving Mildred is her daughter, Debbie Farver and husband Dave; and brothers Jim Geedy and his wife Donna, and Harry Geedy and his wife Connie.
Millie was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed making memories with family as often as possible. She and Don were married 45 years before his passing in 2003. Millie previously worked as a laborer at Pfaltzgraff Pottery, New Oxford Baby Shoe Company, and a couple of sewing factories. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Shiremanstown, and a member of Seven Mountains Bluegrass Club. Millie had a passion for all animals, and dearly loved her canine family members. In her healthier years, Millie acted as “grammy” to many dogs of friends to whom she provided pet sitting. She enjoyed, Bluegrass jam sessions and concerts, traveling, camping, bird watching (especially Hummingbirds), gathering with friends, reading, and baking.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Bible Baptist Church; 201 W Vine St, Shiremanstown, PA 17011. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. immediately following the visitation. MASKS REQUIRED. Burial services will be private at the convenience of the family and held in Evergreen Cemetery; Duncannon, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church, Hospice of Central PA, or any other charity of your choice.
