Born July 20, 1938 in Passaic NJ, he was the son of the late John and Marian Hollis of Garfield, New Jersey. Philip was a graduate of St. Bonaventure University, in Allegany, New York.
Philip worked as an logistics engineer at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 30 years in West Palm Beach, Florida, and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the 3rd Signal Radio Research Unit during the Vietnam War. An avid train enthusiast, Phillip enjoyed many years as a model railroad hobbyist.
Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Diana Hollis, and four children, Christopher Hollis, Tanya Hollis, Nicole Hollis and Douglas Hollis. Grand children include Kalen Louie-Hollis, 22, Jaida Louie-Hollis, 14, Jessica Hollis, 12, Poppy Heathcote, 6, and Beckett Heathcote, 3.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 225 Salt Rd. Enola, PA, with visitation one hour prior to mass. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
