He was born December 10, 1946 in Harrisburg the son of the late John R. and Erma (Blough) Sheetz.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sherrie D. (McCall) Sheetz; sons Richard F. Sheetz Jr., Bradley D. Sheetz, daughter Jill Sheetz Hamme and husband Jeffrey; 7 grandchildren, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
He was owner and operator of Sheetz Family Cleaning and was a car salesman for 38 years the last 6 years with Freysinger GMC Buick.
He was a member of Harvest Church, New Kingstown; he loved selling cars, sprint car racing and football.
He loved spending quality time with Olivia, Molly and Nick who were the joy of his life.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 Pm Monday October 3, 2016 at Harvest Church, 6950 Carlisle Pike, New Kingstown, with his pastor and friend Fred Tiday officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St Jude Place
