Robert M. Herr Jr.

Robert M. Herr Jr., 64, of Shiremanstown, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Harrisburg Hospital. He was born January 4, 1953 in Harrisburg; and preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Herr Sr.; brother, Richard D. Herr; and nephew, Chad Foster Cope. Surviving is his mother, Elizabeth J. Herr, of Shiremanstown; 2 sisters, Sharon Hane, (Tim), of Emmitsburg, MD and Patricia Kichman, of Shiremanstown; 2 nieces, Christine McCord and Erin Walters (Erik); 2 nephews, Andrew and David Bailor; 4 gran-nieces, Sophia, Emily, Layla and Carly; and his dog, Zoey. Robert was a retired engineer from the Norfolk Southern Railroad, with 43 years of service and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. Robert enjoyed spending time at the beach and spending time with his family. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 44 W. Main St., Shiremanstown. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery, Perry Valley. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.
