Born on July 12, 1951 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Ruth L. (Werner) and Robert W. Luckenbaugh Sr.
He is preceded in passing by his brother Robert W. Luckenbaugh Jr. and sister Nancy J. Sampson.
Surviving Ronald is his loving wife, Gail L. Luckenbaugh; their daughters, Ginger L. Furlow (Shawn) and Connie E. Rotondo (Joe); 3 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; his brother Donald W. Luckenbaugh and sister Nedra J. Bowery; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ronald was a Sgt. In the Marine Corps as well as a Navy Reserve Seabees veteran. He retired from the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot as a Supply Systems Specialist with over 52 years of service. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ronald was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed a good movie or show, especially in the genre of sci-fi, horror films and western movies and knew the names of all the western actors and what they played in. He could often be found out in the yard mowing or doing yard work around the house.
Ronald was a member of the Marine Corps League, P.W. Milano Detachment #299; the Mechanicsburg American Legion Post 109; and the Fox Eichelberger VFW Post 7415 in New Cumberland.
A visitation will take place on Thursday January 30, 2025 from 12:30-1:30pm at Neill Funeral Home; 3401 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011. Funeral services will begin at 1:30pm. A graveside service with military honors will take place following the funeral out at Rolling Green Cemetery; 1811 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Legion Post 109 in Mechanicsburg, PA.
