

Ruth Lau Armstrong passed away on July 3, 2015, at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville, PA weeks after celebrating her 90th birthday. Ruth was born in Pottstown, PA to Martha Davidheiser and Clarence Henry Lau. She was known affectionately as “Honey” by her Pottstown family.
She attended Penn State University where she met Clarence Eugene “Oz” Armstrong, the love of her life who preceded her in death. They were married for 52 years and raised their family of four children in Towanda, PA. In later years they lived in W. Redding, CT, Lynnfield, MA and Lewisburg, PA.
Ruth lived in Florida for 13 years following the death of her husband where she enjoyed visits from her family, golfing, bridge, day trips and dinner theater in Sun City Center. In addition to being a homemaker, Ruth also earned her real estate license, delighted in refinishing yard sale finds, and faithfully participated in Bible studies. Ruth loved games, replacing Bridge with Dominoes and iPad solitaire in recent years. She enjoyed dancing and looked forward to joining in the birthday dances at Aston Gardens.
She is survived by Richard (Ellie) Armstrong of Woods Hole, MA; Betsy (Tom) Grbenick of Milton, PA; Tom (Donna) Armstrong, of Meadowbrook, PA; and Peg (Gordy) Reese of Boulder CO; seven grandchildren: Bronwen (Jonathan) Polloni of Woods Hole, MA; Anna Grbenick of Chicago, IL; Mara
Grbenick of Portland, ME; Blair Armstrong and Alexis Armstrong of Philadelphia, PA; Madison Reese and Taylor Reese of Boulder, CO; and one great grandchild, Juniper Rose Polloni.
