Sandra Lee McBroom

Born January 9, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William H. Maurer and Anna M. Maurer of Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania.

Surviving Sandra are her husband of 21 years, Thomas McBroom of Cary, North Carolina, her son, Scott Patrick McNaney of Alpharetta, Georgia; her daughter, Kelly Lynne McNaney of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; a brother, Thomas W. Maurer of Liverpool, Pennsylvania, and two grandchildren; Lauren E. Dick and Alex M. D. McNaney, both of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

She was a 1962 graduate of Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. She continued her education at Saint Francis University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Health Arts and a Master of Science in Health Services Administration. She began her esteemed healthcare career upon graduating from the Harrisburg Polyclinic School of Nursing and ended her career as President of McBroom and Associates, LLC, a consulting firm.

Sandra served as a manager in the Medical Advisory Services Unit with the PHICO group, a Senior Consultant at Marsh USA, Inc., as a consultant with the ECRI Institute and as a volunteer at Duke University Health System in the Cancer Patient Support Program.

Outside of her esteemed career, Sandra enjoyed the beach, traveling and spending time with her family. She always spoke fondly of the trip she took to Paris with her Mother and Daughter.

Sandra will be missed by her family, all of whom loved her very much.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1313 S. York St, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania 17055.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1313 S York Street Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
