

Terry R. Arnold, 81, of Camp Hill went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 after passing at Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg. He was born June 15, 1936 in Harrisburg. He was the son of the late Francis R. and Mary E. (Sharp) Arnold and had devoted many years caring for his mother before her death. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joann M. (Winter) Arnold. He is survived by a stepson, Anthony M. Ryder of Baltimore, MD; step-grandchildren, Anthony M. Ryder and Angela S. Dunlap; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Terry was a retired Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist for the PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Department of Labor and Industry. He particularly enjoyed the many years he worked with individuals who were deaf or hard of hearing. Terry served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa. He graduated from Camp Hill High School and attended Messiah College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970.
Terry was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill and, prior to his illness, had been active with many church activities. He enjoyed gardening, but his true passion was spending time with his beautiful wife, Joann, before she passed away in 2011. Terry was a lover of animals of all kinds but had a special affection for his last dog, Pretty Mama.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut St., Camp Hill. Interment will follow in the church courtyard. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at the church until the time of the service.
