Thomas L. Olsen

Thomas L. Olsen, 65, of Enola, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 after an illness. He was born February 15, 1950 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Thomas V. and Betty (Williams) Olsen; and preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Marie Olsen. Also surviving is his wife of 15 years, Debra A. Olsen; his son, Thomas L. Olsen Jr., of Cocoa Beach, FL; his daughter, Teresa Ann Spittle and husband Chad Spittle, of Mechanicsburg; his stepdaughter, Karla N. Brown, of Wormleysburg; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Olsen, Peyton Olsen, Brayden Olsen, Jackson Thomas Spittle and Isabelle Grace Spittle; his brother, William J. Olsen, wife Mary Jane, of Camp Hill; his nephew, William C. Olsen, wife, Betania, of Mechanicsburg; his aunt, Constance Costilow, of Newville; his uncle, Donald Williams, wife, Joan, of Harrisburg; and his cousin, Jim Costilow. Tom was a Fire Arms instructor at the Piccola Law Enforcement Center at HACC for 31 years; a retired sergeant from the Camp Hill Police Department with 25 years of service; a former policeman for the City of Harrisburg, with 5 1/2 years of service; and served in the US Army Reserve for 12 years. Tom loved training firearm safety to the cadets and the police officers. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 Trindle Rd., Camp Hill. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday in the Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St., Camp Hill, and also at the church at 10:00 AM Friday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas L.
