John passed away in the North Island Hospital at the age of 82 with stomach cancer & pneumonia. He will be lovingly remembered by his best friend Wendy Hardy, his siblings: David, Olive, Mary, Ruth, Paul & Philip, his children: Ruth, Dan, Tim & Jeannene, his grandchildren: Jarod, Colin, Milaina & Jack, his former wife & children’s mother: Lynda Christie & many nieces, nephews & friends.
John worked as a forester, farmer & entrepreneur & in his retirement he volunteered with St. John's Ambulance. His passions included gardening, science, travel, photography & talking! A memorial service will take place on February 4th at 1pm at Aldergrove Alliance Church.
