It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Blanche Renault at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 13th, 2023, at the age of 96. She was predeceased in the afterlife by her husband Georges Joseph and her two sons Joseph and Luc, as well as her parents Germaine (born Vermette) and Louis Leblanc, her brother Émile and her sisters Lorraine and Robertine.
She will remain forever present in the hearts and memories of her children: Suzanne (late Elie), Lisette (Georges), Jean-Marc (Simone), Hélène (Georges), and Nathalie (Allain); her grandchildren: Janic, Elise, and Marie-Hélène; her great-grandchildren: Ella, Nicholas, Ève-Anne and Loralie as well as her relatives and many friends.
In the tradition of our mothers and grandmothers, driven by a strength to live and determined to always move forward, Blanche lived a full life with love, resilience, and kindness. With an already large family to support, she built a business venture with her Jos, where she excelled in the art of flower arranging. This entrepreneurial couple turned Boutique Fleurie, the first business in the city of Campbellton to display in French, a "flourishing" business. Dedicated and involved in her community, with a great sense of mutual help, she was, among other things, one of the founding members of the Dames d'Acadie. In retirement, she spent several long winter months in Mexico where she hosted her family and friends in a rental house in Bucerias. On the large terrace of this house overlooking the Bahia de Banderas, happy days passed between the 5 to 7, good meals and tai chi sessions. In addition to her own generosity, Blanche helped children in need in Bucerias through a voluntary contribution from the followers of her tai chi.
Mrs. Blanche Renault will rest at Savoie Funeral Home, situated at 47 Alexander St., Campbellton, on Friday, May 19th from 2:00 pm with a celebration of her life starting at 3:00 pm at the funeral Home.
