Robert Renault

Décédé paisiblement à l’Hôpital Régional de Campbellton, le mardi 7 avril 2026, à l’âge de 89 ans, époux de Janine Venne-Renault. Né le 30 juillet 1936 à Campbellton, il était le fils de feu Médard Renault et feu Éliane Haché.

Il laisse dans le deuil sa conjointe de 64 ans, Janine Venne-Renault. Outre sa conjointe, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants; France (Michael Ferlatte), Benoit (Richard Sharman), Patric (Holly Kwan), ses petits-enfants; Pierre, Julie (Alex Robichaud), Alexandra, Henri et son arrière-petite-fille Ellie Robichaud.

Il laisse ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs; Bertrand Couture, Danièle Kempnich Letocha, Pierrette Venne (Jean-Marc), Marcel Venne (Réjeanne), feu Pierre Venne (Yolande Chéné), feu François Venne (Graciette Huard), feu Jean Venne (feu Ghislaine Richard). En plus il laisse plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et de nombreux amis.

Il fut précédé par ses frères et soeurs et leurs conjoints: Oscar (Dorothée Rioux), Marcelle (Robert Goodwin), Marc, Dina et Louis (Diana Laviolette).

Homme aux mille talents, il a toujours été grandement impliqué dans sa communauté. Que ce soit au niveau administratif, municipal, paroissial, entrepreneurial, éducatif, il a été impliqué dans différents organismes communautaires. Il a débuté sa carrière comme météorologue au Nunavut (Frobisher Bay / Iqaluit) et en France (Marville). Par la suite, il est revenu à Campbellton, pour se joindre à son frère et son père dans l’opération des épiceries Save-Easy à Campbellton et Atholville. Il a aussi travaillé dans le domaine financier: vente immobilière, Caisse Populaire d’Atholville, Hôpital Hôtel-Dieu, Première Nation Listuguj, en éducation au CCNB de Campbellton. Par la suite, il a travaillé pour Élections Nouveau-Brunswick jusqu’à récemment.

Ses passions comprenaient le chalet familial, la navigation en bateau ou en kayak, travaux manuels, les problèmes mathématiques, les Sudoku, jouer aux cartes, la lecture ainsi que sa famille et ses amis.

La famille accueillera parents et amis au Salon funéraire Savoie, 47 rue Alexander, Campbellton le vendredi, 10 avril 2026 de 19h00 à 21h00.

Les funérailles auront lieu à l'Église Notre-Dame-des-Neiges de Campbellton, le samedi, 11 avril 2026 à 11h00.

La famille désire remercier l’équipe médicale de l’hôpital de Campbellton. Un don au nom de Robert peut être fait à la Fondation des amis de la Santé.

Passed away peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the age of 89, husband of Janine Venne-Renault. Born on July 30, 1936, in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Médard Renault and the late Éliane Haché.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janine Venne-Renault. In addition to his wife, he leaves to mourn his children: France (Michael Ferlatte), Benoit (Richard Sharman), Patric (Holly Kwan), his grandchildren, Pierre, Julie (Alex Robichaud), Alexandra, Henri and his great-granddaughter Ellie Robichaud.

He leaves behind his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bertrand Couture, Danièle Kempnich Letocha, Pierrette Venne (Jean-Marc), Marcel Venne (Réjeanne), the late Pierre Venne (Yolande Chéné), the late François Venne (Graciette Huard), the late Jean Venne (the late Ghislaine Richard). He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins, and numerous friends.

He was preceded by his brothers and sisters and their spouses: Oscar (Dorothée Rioux), Marcelle (Robert Goodwin), Marc, Dina and Louis (Diana Laviolette).

A man of many talents, he has always been deeply involved in his community. Whether at the administrative, municipal, parish, entrepreneurial, or educational level, he has been involved in various community organizations. He began his career as a meteorologist in Nunavut (Frobisher Bay/Iqaluit) and France (Marville). He later returned to Campbellton to join his brother and father in operating the Save-Easy grocery stores in Campbellton and Atholville. He also worked in the financial sector: real estate sales, Atholville credit union, Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, Listuguj First Nation, and in education at CCNB Campbellton. He then worked for Elections New Brunswick until recently.

His passions included the family cottage, boating or kayaking, crafts, math problems, Sudoku, playing cards, reading, as well as his family and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Savoie Funeral Home, 47 Alexander Street, Campbellton on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The funeral will take place at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Church in Campbellton, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

The family wishes to thank the medical team at Campbellton Hospital. Donations in Robert's name may be made to the Friends of Health Foundation.
