

Sunday, November 20th, 2022, at his residence, at the age of 70, passed away Mr. Roger Lavoie of Balmoral, husband of Diane (born Litalien) Lavoie. He was the son of the late Henriette (born Godbout) and the late Edmond Lavoie.
Besides his wife Diane, he will be sadly missed by his children: Dina (Réni Pitre) of St-Maure and Gabriel (Natacha Diotte) of Charlo; his grandchildren: Jérémy, Marc-Antoine, Audrey, and Lucas; his sisters: Rita Lavoie, Marthe (Alphonse Duquenne), Juliette (Raymond Robichaud), Suzanne Lavoie, Caroline (Alfred Boudreau) and Yolande (Benoit Parent) also by many other members of the Lavoie and Litalien families, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Alida.
Roger has lived a full life during which he shared many motorcycle adventures and trips with his love Diane. Roger often said that he was happy, proud of his children and grandchildren. He was satisfied with the life he lived with his family. Roger was also very proud of his trade and his work as a welder. He began his apprenticeship at Audet Welding in Charlo in 1971 and then worked for Woodland (NBIP) for about 20 years. When his employment with Woodland ended, Roger decided to open his own welding business which was in operation for about 20 years. Roger was well appreciated by his customers for his welding skills, his good service and especially his integrity and honesty.
Funeral mass will be held in the St-Benoit Church, Balmoral, on Friday, November 25th at 11:00 am. Mr. Roger Lavoie will rest at Savoie Parlor, situated at 10 D’Église St., Eel River Crossing, on Thursday evening, November 24th, from 7:00 till 9:00pm also on Friday morning from 9:00 am till time of funeral. A donation to the Tree of Hope Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
