Our mama, Anna Marie Wilkerson Levitt, lovingly called "Mother Amazing," "Bacie," and "Gigi," came into our world on May 28, 1919, at home in Los Angeles, Ca. She entered heaven on December 27, 2010, from the home she shared with her daughter, Susan, in West Hills, CA. She lived her entire life in Southern CA., from Beverly Hills to the San Fernando Valley.
She was a beloved daughter, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Married to her Don for 60 years, they raised a son, Steve, and two daughters, Susan (Vigo) and Dona (Schaller). Her family includes 8 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, son, Steve, and great-granddaughter, Grace Anne Marie.
Anne spent 40+ years at the Sportsman's Lodge Hotel in Studio City in Guest Relations and served as their historian. Mama loved people, and at 91 she still made us laugh with her stories and jokes.
Visitation will be on Thursday evening, December 30, 2010, 6-8 pm, at Gates Kingsley Gates Praiswater Mortuary in Canoga Park. A Mass in celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010, at St. Bernadine's Catholic Church in Woodland Hills, Ca. at 2 pm. Internment will follow on Monday, January 3, 2011, 10:30 am, at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
