Betty Anne Zigler

Betty was born on January 31, 1934 in Los Angeles, California. Betty lived an extremely fulfilled life with her 7 children, 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Betty also had many honorary children including friends of her children as well as many students whom she connected with during her 30 year career as a High School History teacher. Betty’s absolute favorite pastime was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, doing her best to never miss an event regardless of the travel required.

Prior to the passing of her beloved husband, Robert Eugene Zigler, in 2010 she shared a 57 year marriage with her soul mate.

Betty Anne entered Eternal Life in Northridge, California peacefully on February 28, 2024. Betty was surrounded by her loving family in her final days. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her son Chuck, her son John (Erin), her Son-in-Law William and her Daughter-in-Law Julie. She is survived by 5 of her children Tom (Tammy), Maryanne Neil, Chris, Nancy (Richard) Long, and Barbara (Frank) Gorman, as well as her 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Words cannot express the measure by which Betty will be missed by her family.

A viewing for Betty will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gates, Kingsley & Gates Praiswater Mortuary, 6909 Canoga Ave, Canoga Park, CA 91303. A rosary will be held at the mortuary. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. John Baptist de la Salle, 16555 Chatsworth Street, Granada Hills, CA 91344. Interment will follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Mission Hills, California.
