Donna Mae Veitch

The middle of 5 children she attended country grade school District 55 and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1949. She followed her sister Lila and moved to California in her early 20s where she met and married Robert Veitch in October of 1957. Robert passed away in October of 2005. They lived most of their lives in the San Fernando Valley in the home they purchased shortly after their marriage. They were blessed with 3 children and Donna spent the first years as a homemaker. She was active in PTA, Girl Scouts and a bowling league.

When the children were teenage, she went back to school and studied computer science at the local junior college where she also worked in the computer lab. She became a teacher at the college for several years before joining her husband in retirement. As a retiree she learned quilting having enjoyed sewing since she was a child. She joined both quilt guilds in the SFV as well as quilters for others providing quilts for those in need. She also enjoyed many types of painting classes and other creative endeavors as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her 4 siblings as well as her husband.

She is survived by her three children and four grandchildren.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 10:00am at Gates, Kingsley & Gates Praiswater Mortuary-6909 Canoga Ave. Canoga Park, CA 91303
